How To Handle Refugees

refugeesWe are in troubling times; this is no surprise at all. It would be tempting to say the world has never seen times Like these; however, this is obviously not the case. Unfortunately the saying is true, history does, in fact,repeat itself. For example, Donald Trump has just been quoted to say he believes Muslims should wear bades to identify themselves among the rest of society. Sound familiar?

With these times come certain fears, which are a struggle to understand and control. It is

hard to know whom to trust right now. People are tryingto come in from over seas, are they real y who they say they are? It brings up some serious questions…should people be al owed in? Is Donald Trump right about badges? What should be done about “those” who

are already here?

The important thingto remember in all of this is who our Savior is and from whence He came. Jesus, although fully God, was also fully man and as such has an ancestry that spans for centuries and for reasons such as this: Jesus•

ancestors include Ruth, a Moabite; Rahab, a prostitute; and David, an adulterer, just to name a few. These are people most Christians would try to avoid.

Now Ruth,a Moabite, was married to a

Hebrew family and when famine struck Moab, Ruth Lost her husband, brother- and father-i n-Law allaround the same time. She had a chance to go back to her people or Leave with her

Not only was she accepted and remarried into

the family, the whole city thought highly of her, a refugee, and she is now an ancestor of Jesus.

We do not know who is waiting at our doors, allof their beliefs or anythingthey have

done in the past. Honestly, though,that is not our place to judge. There was a reason why Jesus came from a heritage of castaways, “Losers”,refugees and people from other countries the Hebrews hated:

34 Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for youfrom thefoundation of the world: 3sfor I was hung_ry and you gave Mefood; I was thirsty and you gave Me drmk;

I was a stranger and you took Me in; 36 I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.'(Matthew 25:34-36)

It is evident the End Times are coming, and with it the realization of how we are enteringwar. This is not just a war between countries but between forces of the….
